We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of ComPaSS’ website visitors; this policy sets out how we will treat personal information. All information that relates to a living individual constitutes personal information. “Personal data” and “personal information” is used interchangeably in this document.

ComPaSS products are created specifically for partners for a particular purpose and are not generally intended to enter the public domain.

- information that you provide to us for the purpose of registering with us;

- deal with enquiries and complaints made by or about you relating to the website; and
- provide partnerships with community profiling and problem solving analysis. Please note that it is ComPaSS’ policy not to identify individuals or specific addresses in its products that are published on the ComPaSS website. Distribution of ComPaSS products that do identify individuals and particular addresses are restricted to particular groups who have appropriate clearance. These products are not published on the ComPaSS website.
(3) Other disclosures
In addition to the disclosures reasonably necessary for the purposes identified elsewhere in this privacy policy, we may disclose information:
- to the extent that we are required to do so by law;
- in connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings; and
- in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights.
Except as provided in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third parties.

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of personal information. Different levels of access are accorded to different ComPaSS products. It is the responsibility of the comissioner of ComPaSS products to ensure that this policy is respected.
Please note that data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.
You are responsible for keeping your password and user details confidential. We will not ask you for your password.
ComPaSS is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998. The registration number is Z9781171 and expires on 18 February 2008.
(5) Policy amendments
We may update this privacy policy from time-to-time by posting a new version on our website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes.

You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you.
(7) Third party websites
The ComPaSS website contains links to other websites. ComPaSS is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of third party websites.
(8) Updating information
Please let us know if the personal information that we hold needs to be corrected or updated.
